Termites can eat through 5 pounds of wood or more in a single year depending on the severity of the infestation. With the Advance Termite Monitoring Bases, you can easily gauge how many termites are in the area and the amount of damage they're causing. The bases fit easily into the monitoring stations and help to identify if termites are problematic around the structure.
How Advance Termite Monitoring Base Works
The monitor bases are created with 63 grams of wood known to attract subterranean termites. The wood also has convenient grooves to allow the termites easier access to the wood. The base sits within the Advance Termite Bait Station and touches the soil, making it easy for the subterranean termites to enter the base.
Where to Use Termite Monitoring Bases
The bases are specially made for the Advance Termite Bait Stations. They are placed outdoors in areas where termite activity is suspected, such as around home foundations. Use them to identify termites around commercial and institutional buildings and anywhere else termites could pose a risk to structures.
Features and Benefits
Once inserted into the station, the monitoring base should be replaced once it has been damaged by the termites or become moldy or waterlogged. Otherwise, replace it once per year. Some benefits of the Advance termite system include:
- Made with wood preferred by subterranean termites
- Horizontal grooves for easier termite access
- Fits easily in Advance Termite Bait Stations
- No active insecticide in the wood
Check for Termites with Advance
Advance termite bases are made of fresh wood that subterranean termites prefer to consume. They're placed within Advance bait stations and used to test for termite activity around structures. Once the termites attack the wood, wait until their activity has stopped before replacing the base.
