HOW TO USE
Gear Needed :
Wear disposable gloves when handling the syringes and wash hands with soap and water once finished using the product.
Where can the gel be used?
These can be used both indoors and outdoors as a cracks and crevice treatment within residential homes, industrial facilities, offices, warehouses, commercial kitchens, hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and other areas infested with cockroaches. Please check the label for the full listing of areas this can be administered.
Cockroaches frequent along areas of construction and they love tight spots between equipment and floors. This gel can be used between hollow spaces in floors, around equipment legs and bases, around plumbing pipes, doors and windows, behind and under appliances, spaces between the cabinets & floor, sinks, and much more. Do not apply this to surfaces that have already been sprayed with a residual product. Also, pick spots where pets and children cannot come in contact with the gel. When treating heavy infestations one may apply 3-5 spots to the above areas mentioned every 10 linear feet. For a moderate infestation one may apply 1-3 spots per every 10 linear feet. Each spot of gel bait should equal about .5 grams of product - 1/4" in diameter, approximately the size of a pea. Once placed, inspect the area every few days to see if you need to reapply.
It is important to inspect areas around the home or structure where cockroaches might be able to enter. If identified use caulking or other measures to seal the structure. When placing the gel outdoors, a pea size spot of gel can be placed at entry sites along windows, doors, and between construction elements. Again, when treating heavy infestations one may apply 3-5 spots to the above outdoor areas mentioned every 10 linear feet. For a moderate infestation one may apply 1-3 spots per every 10 linear feet. *See the label for a full list of where you can use the cockroach gel.
The active ingredient within the arena will start working within 24 hours and will maintain its gel like consistency for up to 3 months. However, when using outside if heat or water is introduced to the gel it can cause the gel to not work as its intended.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place inaccessible to children or pets.
DESCRIPTION
Target Pest:
Cockroaches, specifically the Brown Banded, Asian, American, Australian, Smoky-Brown, Brown, Oriental and German species.
Cockroach Gel Bait:
Each carton contains 4 x 1.06 oz (30 Gram) non-refillable syringes. The gel has a yellow tint and you will be able to see where you place it.
The Advion Cockroach Gel a is a highly palatable, non-repellent gel bait. The active ingredient within this cockroach gel bait is an insecticide called Indoxacarb. Upon ingesting, specific enzymes within the cockroach turn on the active ingredient causing it to be deadly. This bio-activation process is not as efficient within non-target pests. Once indoxacarb is "turned on" through enzymatic activity within the cockroach, it starts blocking the sodium channels in the insects nervous system. However, it doesn't kill the cockroach immediately, it allows the cockroach to return to its harborage where other adult and nymph cockroaches are and spread the active ingredient through droppings and ultimately its remains . This allows for multiple generations to be terminated. While you might not see cockroach carcasses around your home, that does not mean the product isn't working. Once the cockroach has ingested the gel bait, it will return to its harborage and help spread the active to other cockroaches.
PRECAUTIONS
Are these safe for children and pets to be around ? Yes, if used and placed properly. Do not place gel near or around food. Please refer to the label when using in areas near or around where food is prepared or handled.
DISPOSAL
If empty do not refill or reuse the syringe, instead place in trash or offer for recycle if available. If partially filled, wrap in newspaper and discard in trash or call your local solid waste authority for disposal instruction.
